The Largest Cargo of Dry Bulk

Eng. Al-Rowwad Chairman of the Board of Directors: The vessel with the largest cargo of dry bulk has berthed on the jetties of the industrial port, declaring a new record in the Gulf of Aqaba.

Dr. Al-Nsour Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors: The fruit of investment in the industrial port culminated in receiving the largest vessels with the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental protection.

Eng. Shihadeh General Manager: The standard loading rates and the ingenuity of the company's staff performance were reflected in the shipping costs for the industrial port users.

The vessel “DOUBLE BRIDE” berthed today at the northern industrial jetty, which is intended to be loaded with potash, with a quantity equal to (90) thousand MT, achieving the record for the highest tonnage at the level of the Gulf of Aqaba in dry bulk materials, knowing that this ship will be exported to the Republic of China.

The northern industrial jetty is one of three jetties within JIPC, where fertilizers and chemicals are handled as exports and imports for the Arab Potash Company, the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company and allied companies. The cost of the development works amounted to (140) million JD, starting from the date of engaging the agreement since 1/11/2016. The development work included the expansion of the port, the addition of a new jetty and others, in addition to the rehabilitation of the jetties and the old handling system, which resulted in raising the operational capacity by receiving vessels of the category of (100) thousand tons with handling rates up to (4) thousand metric tons per hour.

The Jordan Industrial Ports Company manages and operates the industrial port and is distinctive by its focus on young Jordanian competencies, with an average age of 32 years.
