We are pleased to announce that JIPC has achieved the ISO 50001 — Energy Management certificate, reflecting our ongoing commitment to energy management excellence, sustainability, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement to be the first port certified in the Energy Management Systems in Jordan and the second port in the Middle East with SGS. ISO 50001 is an international standard that outlines the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an Energy Management System (EnMS) noting that the application of these requirements led to a reduction the energy consumption by about 5% of the total consumption.
JIPC Obtained the Certificate from SGS by implementing full-bodied systems and reengineered processes to enhance energy performance, ensuring efficient use of resources, and minimizing waste. Through strategic energy management, we aim to reduce operational costs and achieve long-term financial savings, contributing to the overall economic sustainability of our organization.
It is worth mentioning that JIPC since its establishment driven its practices by optimizing and pursuing excellence that has been achieved by obtaining ISO 9001:2015 - Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 - Environmental Management System, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
