In parallel with JIPC Main Goals to sustain the clean environment starting from the office, site, workplaces, and the community JIPC had published its environmental slogan “Keep Our City Clean” in the 2021 World Cleanup Day.
JIPC participated this international event in cooperation with Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) that is jointly arranged with the Netherlands company “Royal HaskoningDHV” and the Spanish company “UTE TR PHB” to clean the selected strategic area in Aqaba South zone that is attractive for the investors (locally and internationally).
Mr. Khaled Shihadeh (the General Manager for JIPC) from his perspective thanked all the participants and their families assuring that such event is reflecting the Jordanian traditions and moral, it increases the team work spirit and the team buildings between the employees increasing the loyalty for the workplace, community and the kingdom. In addition to that he thanked ADC for their support in making such event fruitful by selecting one of the most sea front areas that is attractive to the investors. Mr.Shihadeh thanked JIPC Board of Directors for their continuous support in achieving all the success in the company .
Mr. Hani Alawneh (Aqaba Development Company Representative) from his perspective, assured that the Grantor is looking forward to enhancing the investments and to support the investors to succeed in all aspects starting from the health, safety and environment in addition to the commercial business. Furthermore, he thanked JIPC for their proactive activity that help the community and the city of Aqaba and wishing it all the best and the continuous success in the future.
Mr. Klaas Brouwer (Royal Haskoning DHV Representative) thanked all the participants highlighting that his company is committed to support this event around the world and he is glad for JIPC participation by this no. of attendees that reflect JIPC esteemed care in keeping the community clean.
Mr. Oscar Avino (UTE TR PHB Representative) thanked JIPC and Royal HaskoningDHV for the proper arrangement and the high care in the environment assuring that they are glad for the participation in this event in all aspects.
Mr. Ahmad Halman (JIPC HSSE Manager) from his perspective declared that the direct outcome from the event was 250 kg (3 m3) of waste collected and transferred to nominated safe manner .
In conclusion, JIPC is supporting the local and international environmental standards that is crowned in obtaining the high-tech accreditation that show the high standards and procedures followed in the terminal such that ECO PORT SLC, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.
